The Duo

Alena and Timofei have been performing as a duet for more than ten years. Both are from Siberia: Alena is from Novokuznetsk, Timofei from Novosibirsk. They met and began their creative life together at the Novosibirsk Conservatory.

In their homeland, they performed mainly Russian chamber repertoire. Romances and song cycles that reveal the performers’ artistry and spontaneity, as well as post-romantic works of the Russian Silver Age, in which the musicians demonstrate all the nuances of the subtle interaction between music and poetry. In their programs, they seek companions for a deep immersion in a moment of aesthetic truth: a moment of unity or dispute with the composers.

In recent years, the duo has found a favorite concert format: conversational concerts, in which they manage to put the listener in the right mood. They usually consist of two parts: vocal and solo piano.
